Cheer Athletics is one of the more established programs in the U.S. with their doors opening in 1994. Throughout the years they have been one of the most successful programs in the U.S. They currently have 17 all-girl and 8 co-ed teams with nearly 550 athletes at one location. As owners, Jody Melton, Brad Habermel and Angela Rogers pride themselves on having a positive impact on their athletes. "We pride ourselves on being the most positive place kids can go and we strive to produce results on the mat while building each individual athlete to be the best person they can be in and out of cheerleading. We have been lucky enough to have had some great success over the years but we realized a long time ago that this sport is not about competition, it's about the journey each year and providing a fun sport for children to be involved in that teaches them much more than cheerleading", says Brad Habermel.
The Panthers are coached by Brad Habermel, Joe O'Toole and Brandon Arbogast. Joe says about the Panthers being chosen for The MAJORS, "they are honored and excited to be a part of the Majors this year. The team was pumped to know they had been chosen to be a part of this elite group of teams. The girls are excited about the competition but equally excited about the banquet and getting to hang out with athletes from these other amazing teams."
We are honored to be a part of the first year of the Majors. There are so many amazing teams across the country and to know that we have two teams from Cheer Athletics representing our gym and the state of Texas is really cool. - Angela Rogers
